Review of Environmental Factors - Camden Valley Way Upgrade and Liz Kernohan Drive Extension (Final) - Flipbook - Page 717
Conclusion
The proposed upgrades to both intersections have been assessed using Sidra Intersection 7. A summary of the
key findings is provided below:
•
•
•
Council have proposed a dual lane roundabout at Hilder Street and this will provide adequate capacity
to support the existing traffic flows through to 2036, and beyond. It will operate well within its capacity
providing minimal delays and queuing on each approach.
However, Seca Solution has also assessed this intersection as a single lane roundabout at Hilder Street
and this single lane option will provide adequate capacity to support traffic flows through to 2036, and
beyond.
The proposed 4-way TCS at Liz Kernohan Drive will provide adequate capacity to support the existing
and future growth in traffic flows through to 2036, inclusive of the projected flows along Liz Kernohan
Drive. Beyond 2036, selected turning movements will experience increases in queues and delays.
However, a minimum of 20 years design life is an acceptable outcome for a project of this size.
