1.4.1 Site Inspection
The site inspection was conducted by Samuel Ward (Heritage Consultant, Niche) on the 11th of August
2023. The whole of the subject area was surveyed via a walking survey, which identified physical fabric,
photographic evidence, and confirmed the results of the desktop research undertaken for this report. The
results of this survey are presented in Section Error! Reference source not found..
1.5 Identified Heritage Items
A review of relevant literature and databases was undertaken to determine the potential for historical
heritage items to occur within the Subject Area. The literature and databases that were reviewed included:
•
•
•
•
Heritage NSW Heritage Inventory (State Heritage Register, State Heritage Inventory)
Camden Local Environmental Plan 2010 heritage schedules
Camden Development Control Plan 2019
Commonwealth heritage registers (Australian Heritage Database, Commonwealth Heritage List, and
former Register of the National Estate)
The results of these searches identified four listed heritage items within 100m of the subject area. All of
these items are listed on the Camden LEP 2010, and only two are partially within the subject area, or which
could be affected by the proposed works. These items are listed below in Table 2.
