requirements of the AQMP.

6.9.1
BUSHFIRE
Existing Environment
The proposed activity area contains mapped bushfire hazard buffer following the NSW Planning Portal
mapping.
6.9.2
Impact Assessment
Bushfire hazard impacts are not envisaged for the proposed activity. The activity seeks to extend an
existing road network and is not associated with the introduction of a new use. Further, the proposed
activity area is located within the bushfire hazard buffer overlay and does not include high bushfire
risk areas.
6.9.3
Mitigation Measures
Mitigation measures are not proposed as the activity is not associated with bushfire impacts.
6.10 FLORA AND FAUNA
6.10.1 Existing Environment
The project area is largely disturbed and either urban, public open space or semi-rural in nature.
Existing trees located along the road reserve and within private property fronting Kirkham Lane are
either native vegetation regrowth, exotic plants or weed species.
6.10.2 Impact Assessment
The extent of works proposed affects existing roadside vegetated areas with low habitat value and
a low likelihood of containing endangered, threatened or vulnerable flora or significant habitat for
fauna. It is noted that the proposed activity area is not mapped as containing biodiversity values
following a review of the Biodiversity Values Map and Threshold Tool. Accordingly, it is considered
that no further assessment is warranted and that the required removal of vegetation to facilitate the
activity can be supported. If opportunities exist, it is suggested that a landscape replacement
strategy is adopted.
6.10.3 Mitigation Measures
The following recommendations are advised to minimise impacts on Flora and Fauna:
