6.2
AUTHORITY AND STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION
In the delivery of communications for the project, the project team aims to:
•
Build a positive relationship with the local community and key stakeholders.
•
Investigate within an appropriate timeframe and, where possible, resolve issues
affecting the community and stakeholders.
•
Minimise disruption to residents located in close proximity to the project site.
•
Proactively communicate to minimise impacts.
•
Meet the reasonable needs of the community for information and concerns.
Communication for the project will be underpinned by the following key objectives:
•
Provide opportunities for stakeholders to be appropriately informed about the project in
a timely manner.
•
Provide an open, accountable, and transparent process.
•
Identify and address issues to implement project controls which minimise further
disruption.
A mix of consultation tools may be used to engage with stakeholders and the community, including:
•
Project web page, contact phone number, email and postal address.
•
Media releases.
•
Email distribution of registered stakeholders (including interested community members
/ groups).
•
Advertising and public notices.
Further consideration into community and stakeholder consultation will be considered and refined
prior to construction commencing.
