activity. It is recommended that consent be sought from the relevant public utility authority if utility
adjustment is requirement as part of the proposed activity.
Existing stormwater culverts and headwalls running under the surface of Camden Valley Way are
also located on both approaches to the proposed roundabout - with the proposed increase in the
width of the road in this section these will be extended and upgraded. Existing stormwater pits are
located on either side of the Hilder Street / Camden Valley Way intersection. As part of this project
these pits will become redundant.
For the Camden Valley Way / Kirkham Lane / Liz Kernohan Drive intersection upgrade, the following
infrastructure will require relocation or adjustment:
•
Power poles in Kirkham Lane, Camden Valley Way
•
Water hydrants in Kirkham Lane, Camden Valley Way
•
Water meters and water stop valve on Camden Valley Way to be adjusted
•
Telecommunications pit on Camden Valley Way to be adjusted
•
Sewer stop valve on Kirkham Lane to be adjusted
Specific requirements regarding adjustment / protection of utilities would be confirmed prior to
construction and in consultation with the relevant infrastructure provider.
4.10 PROPERTY ACQUISITION
The Hilder Street / Camden Valley Way roundabout element of the project will require the following
lands to be acquired:
•
Approximately 4670m² of Lot 11 DP827115 to the north of Camden Valley Way to
facilitate the construction of the roundabout and the road widening for the required
upgrading of an existing stormwater culvert / headwall.
The Camden Valley Way / Kirkham Lane / Liz Kernohan Drive element of the project will require the
following lands to be acquired:
•
Approximately 5083m² of Lot 11 DP827115 on the northern side of Camden Valley Way.
•
Approximately 2310m² of Lot 101 DP1143373 on the northern side of Camden Valley
Way.
•
Approximately 614m² of Lot 101 DP1143373 on the eastern side of Kirkham Lane.
•
Approximately 330m² of Lot 5 DP882365 on the eastern side of Kirkham Lane.
Land on the southern side of Camden Valley Way are Council owned and zoned as RE1 Public
Recreation Land where the proposed road upgrade and widening works are permitted.
4.11 STATUTORY AND PLANNING FRAMEWORK
The Act establishes the statutory framework for planning and environmental assessment in New
South Wales. Implementation of the Act is the responsibility of the Minister for Planning, statutory
authorities, and local councils.
