The development will involve significant fill importation for pavement widening and construction of
the new road linkage and footpaths. Estimated volumes of cut and fill are 11,399m3 and 63,625m3
respectively. This means approximately 52,226m3 of fill will need to be imported to the site and
stored in nominated locations to facilitate the development.
Construction activities would generally proceed as follows:
•
Install sediment and erosion control devices in accordance with the approved plans.
•
Strip topsoil and store material at proposed stockpile site.
•
Excavation, extensive filling and compaction to create stable surfaces.

Provide the appropriate base required for works associated with the road upgrade.
•
Compact fill in accordance with the Australian Standard.
•
Dispose of any excess/unusable excavated material to either an approved development
site or a registered waste management facility.
