PROJECT OVERVIEW
2.1
INTRODUCTION
Monteath & Powys Pty Ltd have been engaged by ACOR Consultants Pty Ltd to prepare a Review of
Environmental Factors for Camden Council for the proposed Camden Valley Way Road Widening
Works. The works extend across multiple lots situated along the Camden Valley Way Road network.
This Review of Environmental Factors seeks to overview the proposal against the relevant matters
considered in original REF date November 2019. As well as against the applicable benchmarks
detailed under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to fully provide the
determining authority with information possible of all matters affecting, or likely to affect, the
environment by the proposed activity. In this regard, Camden Council is both a public authority
proponent under section 5.3 and the determining authority following section 5.1 of the Act.
Moreover, the REF is prepared in accordance with Clause 171 of the Environmental Planning and
Assessment Regulation 2021. Further, the works are to be reviewed against the State Environmental
Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) 2021 as to overview the planning approval pathway
relevant to the proposal under the current State Environmental Planning Policy.
The proposed works are detailed further in Section 3.3 of this REF with relevant details of the
proposal shown on the plans and supporting documentation contained in the Appendices.
Overall, this REF has been prepared to fully provide the determining authority (the Camden Council)
with information possible of all matters affecting, or likely to affect, the environment by the proposed
activity.
